Penny 2

This is the second generation of Bear Robotics’ mobile robot “Penny”.  There where two major changes from the 1st generation. 1) We added multiple trays so more food can be delivered in one run as well as added a bussing tub so that the server can take used dishes back to the kitchen. 2) The internal structure got a major upgrade and also the design of the robot was simplified for efficient and manufacturing.  This meant designing the mechanical structure to be made by injection molding and the metal to be die caste and stamped to sheet metal.
